The centerpiece of the patch: twelve new specs that give existing ability families sharper jobs, clearer identities, and stronger build hooks.

Patch Highlights

Big Swings

The patch also hits loot, gearing, and talent identity hard. These are the changes players will feel immediately.

Treasure Sand can contain any Unique

Digsite Treasure Sand can now contain ANY Unique gear piece. Every Unique now has a second source alongside its original source.

Mana Regeneration Mega Buffed

Mana Regeneration rolls on armor and Unique gear are now 10% to 50% from level 0, and 51% to 100% from level 51 onward.

Cooldown Reduction Starts Early

Cooldown Reduction rolls on armor and Unique gear are now 5% to 20% already from level 0.

Stronger Combat Rolls Earlier

Effect Duration, Healing Efficiency, Lucky Hit, Area of Effect, Increased Damage, and Ability Power percentage rolls now become meaningful much earlier.

  • Added Shield Bash: Bulwark, a wide 180-degree shield bash for massive crowd control without knockback.

  • Added Lightning Strike: Charged Bolts, a low-cooldown fan of lightning bolts that fires outward from the player.
  • Added Ice Bolt: Shard Blizzard, an Ice Bolt specialization that places a blizzard cloud and drops homing ice shards onto mobs inside the storm.
  • Added Smite: Blast Wave, a toggle specialization that pulses lightning damage around the player.

Talents

  • Added Voltaic Impact, a Shocking support talent that increases collision damage dealt by Shocked mobs by 25% / 50% / 75% / 100%.
  • Added Axe Specialisation. While holding an axe, Double Damage hits deal 25% / 50% / 75% / 100% additional damage.
  • Added Sword Specialisation. While holding a sword, Sweeping Hit damage is increased by 10% / 20% / 30% / 40%, and Sweep Area is increased by 25% / 50% / 75% / 100%.
  • Added Blood Rush, a kill-chain talent that grants stacking Healing Efficiency. Each stack grants +4% Healing Efficiency, with 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 max stacks and 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 second duration.
  • Added the new combat talents to Skill Scrolls.
  • Added mutually exclusive talent gates for Axe Specialisation and Sword Specialisation.

Added Mods

  • Added the Creeper Power mod, a new Power mod that lets you turn creeper explosions into FE power.
  • Added the Chestmonster mod, an early-game chest index mod that is not gated behind research and lets you query multiple containers at once.

Blocks, Items, Gear, and Research

  • Added the Vault Hostile Egg item.
  • Added compressed Vault Cobblestone variants through Compressium.
  • Added the Creeper Power research to the Power research group for 1 Knowledge.
  • Added Terra's Wrath and Terraxe weapon appearances.
  • Added Terra shield, focus, wand, and armor appearances.
  • Added Hellboy and Girl Boss armor appearances.

UI and Presentation

  • Added a much clearer connector style for mutually exclusive talents.
  • Added theme augment lore for Chaos, Holidays, Flesh Pit, Acid, Death, and the Blood Ash variant of Bloodveil.
  • Added a dedicated Negate modifier icon.

Balance Updates

IV

Abilities

  • Reworked Shield Bash into a much more useful control ability. It now has a slightly wider arc, adds knockback, scales stun chance and knockback from Block Chance, and refunds part of its cooldown per target hit, up to a cap.
  • Reworked Earthquake into a much more immediate area damage ability. It now deals damage instantly, ripples several more times for extra damage, has new block ripple visuals, and no longer destroys blocks.
  • Reworked Rampage into a direct on-hit melee power-up. It no longer boosts attack-damage abilities, projectiles, chained damage, damage-over-time effects, or other indirect physical damage.
  • Buffed Rampage's accessibility. It now has 8 learnable levels at 1 skill point per level, much lower mana upkeep, and reaches double direct melee damage at level 8.
  • Reworked Javelin with 8 learnable levels. Throw speed and damage scaling have moved into the base ability progression instead of old enhancement talent branches.
  • Buffed Ice Bolt with flat damage plus Attack Damage scaling. Hitting an already chilled target can now create shard explosions in a fixed cross pattern.
  • Ice Bolt splinters now deal 50% of the original bolt's total damage, cannot create more splinters, and do not inherit Lucky Hit behavior.
  • Buffed Chaos Cube damage. Level 8 now reaches 250% Attack Damage.
  • Improved Chaos Cube visuals and audio with clearer pulses, rolling particles, and a larger detonation effect.
  • Reworked Ball Lightning into a committed line-clear spell. It now locks direction on cast, travels slowly in a straight line, and hits mobs inside the orb much more reliably.
  • Ball Lightning now damages each valid mob once per orb, benefits from Area of Effect, and has higher cooldown, mana cost, and lightning damage range.
  • Reworked Glacial Blast as the instant precision-control Ice Bolt specialization. Direct hits apply Glacial Prison, while splash hits only apply chill and stun effects.
  • Glacial Blast direct damage now uses Attack Damage percentage scaling with no flat base damage.
  • Glacial Blast splash damage no longer triggers on-hit effects.
  • Ice Bolt and Glacial Blast direct hits now shatter existing Glacial Prison targets.
  • Removed Shield Bash: Retribution, Earthquake: Landmine, Rampage: Leech, Rampage: Chain, and Storm Arrow: Blizzard.

Talents

  • Buffed Purist. It now grants 10% / 20% / 30% / 40% increased damage per equipped Scrappy armor piece, previously 2.5% / 5% / 7.5% / 10%.
  • Removed the old Javelin Throw Power and Javelin Damage talent branches.
  • Javelin Conduct and Javelin Ethereal are now standalone talents.

Gear, Cards, and Modifiers

  • New ability specializations can now roll on gear and cards.
  • Buffed armor and Unique gear Cooldown Reduction rolls. They now roll 5% to 20% already from level 0.
  • Mega buffed armor and Unique gear Mana Regeneration rolls. They now roll 10% to 50% already from level 0, and 51% to 100% from level 51 onward.
  • Buffed armor and wand Effect Duration rolls. They now roll 3% to 20% already from level 0.
  • Buffed armor and Unique gear Increased Damage and Ability Power percentage rolls, and buffed wand Ability Power percentage rolls. Level 0-50 gear now rolls much stronger early values, while level 51+ gear can roll the full normal range.
  • Buffed Healing Efficiency rolls on armor, wands, and focuses. They now roll 5% to 26% from level 0, and 5% to 42% from level 51 onward.
  • Buffed Knockback Resistance rolls. Armor can now roll 10% to 40%, shields can roll 10% to 50%, and legendary rolls can reach full knockback immunity from any vault level.
  • Buffed Effect Avoidance rolls. Armor can now roll 10% to 30%, while shields can roll 20% to 70% from level 0 and can reach full effect immunity with a legendary roll.
  • Buffed Lucky Hit Chance rolls. Helmets and matching Unique gear rolls are stronger earlier, while swords, axes, shields, wands, and focuses can roll 2% to 10% already from level 0.
  • Reworked Jester Hat's Lucky Hit identity. It now keeps a normal Lucky Hit implicit and gains a Unique suffix that increases total Lucky Hit Chance by 50% to 100%.
  • Buffed Area of Effect rolls on helmets, wands, and standard Unique gear rolls. They now roll 3% to 11% from level 0, and 3% to 20% from level 51 onward. Inferno's Reach keeps its special Unique Area of Effect range.

Vaults, Loot, and Progression

  • Pandora's Box can now add Champion's Domain.
  • Early Pandora's Box outcomes are smoother. Aggro Cows and Guardians now start at level 60, and Cake is less common before level 60.
  • Added the Sophisticated Storage Compression Upgrade to Mod Boxes.
  • Added Sophisticated Storage Links and Controllers to Mod Boxes.
  • Treasure Sand in Digsites can now contain ANY Unique gear piece. Every Unique now has a second source alongside its original source.
  • Treasure Sand in Digsites can now contain Mod Boxes.
  • Removed Copycats from the Create research.
  • Buffed Power research scaling. Each extra Power research is now much cheaper: 2.4 cost increase, previously 6.0.
  • Moved white Wraith cave spawns out of level 0 vaults.
  • Moved yellow Wraith cave spawns out of the level 20 cave mob band.
  • Regions Unexplored Forest Dirt and Plains Dirt now count for Dirt vault altar requirements.
  • Removed invalid Horde Rush, Protect Villager, and Companion Rush inscriptions from generation.
  • Warehouse inscriptions now use the correct model.
  • Removed Horde Rush from Greed Trader challenge room rolls.
  • The Vault Diffuser now gives all Jewels a shared diffuser value.
  • Removed Skill Essence trades from Vault Vending.
  • Removed ambient particles from Treasure Hunter prestige.
